Wheel of the Year

The standard Wheel of the Year has always bothered me on some level. There was just something that was "off." As a result I have decided to take on a new approach and see how it works for me.

The published or standard Wheel of the Year looks like the following

With this shift and if you decide to follow the Astrological Calendar then would it not also hold to use the elements that correspond to the Astrological Sign that is the Fixed Sign for the Season?

Everyone comes up with their own order that they call the elements, but to me it makes more sense to follow the order given by the order of the fixed signs in the Zodiac.
  • Air needs grounding; thought needs structure.
  • Fire needs cooling; passion needs depth.
  • Earth needs raising; old structures need clearing away.
  • Water needs to be ruffled; the deeper currents need to be challenged by surface disturbance to prove themselves.
And so on they go ...
