language and the Other
What if the origins of written language was influenced by communication with the other. Other being gods, spirits, and the like that are not on the mortal plane. I came across this idea thinking about how much the oldest languages, Egyptian and Mayan, specifically rely on pictures to communicate. Even the Norse credit Odin with providing the runes in which their early language was translated into. What if Egyptian and Mayan are also divine in origin?
